Everyone at the Hogarcito de Niños Especiales San Jose Benito Cottolengo was looking forward to Silvana’s fifteenth birthday… even the sisters!
In hispanic cultures, the Quinceañera, or the celebration of a girl’s 15th birthday is a significant milestone, usually commemorated by a special celebration. The sisters wanted to make this day special for Silvana, one of the residents of the home of mercy.

The Hogarcito de Niños Especiales San Jose Benito Cottolengo offers a permanent home for children who have been abandoned. The majority of these children and youth have severe physical or mental impairments. At our Homes of Mercy, children like Silvana know that they are loved, respected, and worthy.

The sisters shared that Silvana’s Quinceañera was a beautiful day, full of joy, smiles, and moments that they will forever remember! ![]()
¡Feliz quinceañero, querida Silvana! Que nunca dejes de soñar y que la vida te regale siempre motivos para ser feliz. ![]()
